MULTIPLEXING
SENSOR HUB™
The Multiplexing Sensor Hub™ (MSH) allows station owners
to add the Corrosion Control™ Water Separator, Corrosion
Detection Sensor, and other sensors to existing sites without
having to break concrete to run new conduit and wires. The
MSH utilizes existing cabling to power and connect up to six
total devices to an EVO™ 600 or EVO™ 6000.
SPECIFICATIONS
• For retrofit applications: the MSH can use existing cabling
to add additional probes or sensors, providing expanded
monitoring capabilities without the need to break concrete
to run additional cable.
Inputs
(1) LL3 probe, (4) UDP devices, (1) switch/
temperature sensor, (1) RS-485 sensor
Output
EVO™ 600/6000: (1) RS-485
• For new applications: the MSH delivers labor and
materials savings by reducing the amount of conduit and
cable required for monitoring devices within a
containment sump.
• Six input channels provide a wide assortment of device
communication capabilities:
• Channel 1: For FMP-LL3 digital inventory and leak
detection probes.
• Channel 2-5: Multiplexed, for 2-wire universal device
protocol (UDP) communication devices.

A Communication
–
B Communication
–
The A and B conductors must be wired
together in a shielded, twisted cable;
and the Power and Ground conductors
must be within the same shielded,
twisted cable.
–
If there is not sufficient existing wiring,
Belden Cable 7962A may be used.
Input Capabilities
The FMP-MSH is capable of supporting the following devices:
Power
–
If a sump has at least two existing input
field cables, such as a 2-conductor
probe cable and a 2-conductor sensor
cable, conductors from both cables
may be used to provide the four
conductors required for the MSH to
EVO™ connection.

Operation
• Channel 6: For any dry-contact single pole single throw
(SPST) switch, flow switch, two-wire device, or
temperature sensor based on a 10k thermistor.
–
–
• Channel 5: Additional capability for 2-wire devices.
Channel 1
The FMP-MSH requires a minimum of
four wire connections to the EVO™
RS-485 Module:
–
• Ideal for use in adding a Corrosion Control™ Water
Separator, Desiccant Pack Sensor, and/or Corrosion
Detection Sensor to an existing tank sump, providing all
necessary input capabilities for this system.
